Answers to your common questions

Are you licensed?
Yes, we are licensed through Georgia Real Estate Commission.

Can I reach you after hours?
Our office hours are Monday thru Friday from 9am – 5pm. Our agents and property managers can be available after hours by appointment only. Don’t worry though, if there is an after-hours maintenance emergency, we have a 24 hour line that can be called to reach a live person.

Can you put the money directly into my account?
Absolutely! In fact, we prefer to distribute rent proceeds to owners via ACH. There is a $5 monthly charge for paper checks.

Do I get to see the lease or sign it?

You have chosen to hire New Hope Realty to represent your best interest in the management of your investment property. For this reason, New Hope Realty acts as the Landlord on your behalf and signs the lease. You will receive a copy of the lease through your Owner Portal once it is signed.


Do you sell real estate too?
Yes, New Hope Realty is a full service real estate company. We also offer a referral service should you need a real estate agent outside our area of service.

How and when do I get my checks?
On most occasions, payments are processed by the 10th day of the month.

How is rent collection handled?
Tenants have a variety of ways available to them to pay their rent. The preferred method is by ACH through the Tenant Portal. We also accept check, money order, cashier’s check. Tenants may also pay with cash through PayLease offered at Wal-Mart, Kroger, and many check cashing businesses.

How long of a lease do you sign?
Leases are 12 to 24 months (other terms can be negotiated with owner approval).

How much security deposit do you charge the tenant?
We charge a security deposit equal to one month’s rent.

How soon can you start managing my property?
Before we start managing a property, we must first see the property we would be managing. Once you know that you would like to use New Hope Realty to manage your property, we will schedule the “property visit” promptly (if it has not already been done).

What type of properties do you manage?
We manage single family homes with rent ranges from $600-$1800. We also manage a few commercial properties, duplexes, quadplexes and townhomes.

What type of reports do I get and how often?
You will receive an owner statement with each payment that is processed (typically monthly). In addition, we will provide you with an annual cash flow statement in January for the previous year. We have the ability to customize reports if you have any specific requests.

Who holds the tenant security deposit?
Security deposits are held by New Hope Realty in our escrow account which is currently located at Wells Fargo Bank. It is an interest bearing account which is kept by New Hope Realty to help offset banking fees incurred.
